The activity, titled “Walking and Growing Together: Nurturing Minds and Community,” seeks to bring families, neighbors, and community leaders together in a walk designed to share, enjoy nature, and reflect on the transformative power that trees and green spaces have on our health, well-being, and community life.
A Day to Grow in Community
The event will begin at 6:30 a.m. with coffee and community sharing. At 7:00 a.m., the walk will start and continue until 9:00 a.m. The route will be pet friendly, so families are encouraged to bring their pets and enjoy an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
The meeting point will be:
2451 Dean Rd, Union Park, FL, 32817.
Bosque Comunitario de Fe – Nuestros Bosques
This project is a community and environmental initiative that seeks to transform Azalea Park (zip codes 32807 and 32822) into a greener, healthier, and more resilient neighborhood. Between 2025 and 2027, our goals include:
Planting 1,030 trees (oak and fruit trees).
Conserving 150 existing trees.
Hosting 120 educational workshops, including 12 dedicated to mental health.
Training 45 community leaders as forest guardians.
Positively impacting more than 6,000 households in the area.
This community walk is a symbolic first step in building an urban ecological corridor in Central Florida, connecting nature, community, and collective well-being.
