Sowing Well-being: Our First Mental Health Workshops in Azalea Park
As part of the Bosque Comunitario de Fe – Nuestros Bosques project, we have taken the first steps in one of the most significant areas of our mission: strengthening mental health and community well-being through connection with nature. Durante los meses de julio y agosto, realizamos dos encuentros transformadores que nos recuerdan que cuidar de los árboles y el entorno es también una forma de cuidarnos a nosotros mismos.

July: Families as Ambassadors of Well-being
In July, we held the first day dedicated to community mental health, where families from Azalea Park participated in activities that highlighted the healing power of connecting with nature.
The gathering was not only a space for learning, but also for reflection and connection, emphasizing that each family can become an ambassador of well-being and mental health in their community. Their commitment to caring for the forests is, without a doubt, a seed of hope for a healthier, more conscious, and sustainable future.

August: Youth, Purpose, and Holistic Health
In August, at Christ the King Episcopal Church, youth and families came together to discover how caring for nature and living with purpose strengthen mental health and overall well-being.
This space was led by the Renacer Foundation team, in collaboration with Corpus Care, Observatorio Ambiental Hispano, and with the support of the Hispanic Access Foundation. The activity became a unique opportunity to reflect on how commitment to the environment also builds emotional and community resilience.

Caring for the Earth, Caring for Our Minds
These experiences remind us that Bosque Comunitario de Fe – Nuestros Bosques is more than an environmental project: it is a movement that seeks to transform Azalea Park into a space where sustainability, environmental justice, and mental health come together to give life to stronger and more united communities.
We will continue walking together, caring for our environment, and cultivating from the roots the hope of a greener, healthier, and more resilient future.
