At the Faith Community Forest (BCF) and Renacer Foundation, we understand that true community well-being is built by addressing human needs holistically. For this reason, the second Saturday of every month has become a vital space for community care at the Christ The King Episcopal Church facilities, in the heart of Azalea Park.

During these days, while families visit the traditional Food Pantry to secure groceries for their homes, Renacer Foundation transforms the environment into a sanctuary of emotional support through its Mental Health Education Workdays. These actions are an essential part of the BCF project's mission, which seeks to intertwine mental health with a deep reconnection to nature.

Mental Health and Natural Connection: Pillars of Our Forest

Food security and psychological well-being are intimately linked. Daily stress and financial hardships often wear down the peace of mind of local families. By integrating emotional education into this space, the Faith Community Forest expands its roots beyond planting trees, also planting stability and hope within the people:

Demystifying Emotional Care: Bringing mental health tools directly into the community's daily spaces makes psychological support accessible, welcoming, and free of judgment for all neighbors.

Tools for Resilience: Attendees receive practical guidance on anxiety relief, family stress management, and cognitive care, reminding us that the mind, just like the earth, needs constant nurturing to truly flourish.

Nature as Medicine: We promote reconnection with our natural surroundings as a therapeutic pathway. We remind residents that the green canopy we are collectively building in Azalea Park is a sanctuary designed for their inner peace, physical health, and emotional relief.

A Commitment that Flourishes Month After Month

These monthly gatherings prove that the Faith Community Forest is a living ecosystem of mutual support. Just as the trees in our neighborhood need strong roots to stand tall, our families require these spaces of active listening and education to grow in a healthy, resilient way.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Christ The King Episcopal Church for their ongoing hospitality and to Renacer Foundation for leading this vital mental health and holistic care initiative with such sensitivity for our community.
