A Night to Remember: Launch Reception of Bosque Comunitario de Fe – Nuestros Bosques
On Friday, September 5, we experienced an unforgettable evening at the Art Gallery at Mills Park, where community leaders, elected officials, and strategic partners came together to celebrate the official launch of Bosque Comunitario de Fe – Nuestros Bosques.

An Inspiring Beginning
The evening began with a heartfelt invocation by Fr. Sergio Serrano, setting the tone of unity and faith for this community and environmental mission.
During the reception, we were honored with two very special recognitions:
A Tribute from the Florida House of Representatives, presented by our Godmother, Representative Johanna López.
A Proclamation from the City of Orlando, presented by our Godfather, Commissioner Tony Ortiz, officially declaring “Community Forest of Faith Day.”
We also welcomed distinguished guests such as Congressman Maxwell Frost, Juan López on behalf of Congressman Darren Soto, and Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe.
A Celebratory Atmosphere
The reception featured live music by a talented saxophonist, creating an elegant and festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a special toast and a selection of hors d’oeuvres, while celebrating the union of community, culture, and nature.
This warm and welcoming environment was made possible thanks to Juan Pablo Santa and Boris Garbe, who greeted guests and made everyone feel at home.
Words of Inspiration
Throughout the evening, we heard messages that underscored the importance of this project:
Patricia Patrón, Chief of Programs at the Hispanic Access Foundation, shared inspiring words about the national vision of the Nuestros Bosques initiative.
Fr. Hoower Cajica and the Renacer Foundation team highlighted the value of integrating mental health and community.
Tom Hinson, Senior Warden and CFO, presented the vision and sustainability goals.
Henry Mendoza, Outreach Director, emphasized the importance of active community participation.
What’s Next
This reception marks only the beginning of a transformative journey: together we are building an urban ecological corridor in Central Florida that restores nature, strengthens mental health, and uplifts our community.
